Oakland’s Re-Create Art Contest Exhibition
Oakland’s ReCreate Art Contest Exhibition will open with a public reception on Friday, December 4, 2015, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Pro Arts Gallery, 150 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, CA.
The reception will feature announcement and presentation of awards valued at $500 to this year’s contest winners.
The exhibition features artwork created from discarded materials by student artists in Oakland schools, in a hands-on application of the 4Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle and rot (compost).
Exhibition and Gallery Hours
The exhibition at Pro Arts Gallery, located at 150 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, will be open for public viewing from December 4 – December 31, 2015, Mondays – Fridays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Traveling Exhibition
Following the exhibition at Pro Arts Gallery, selected artwork will become part of a Traveling Exhibition and will be on display at various Oakland Public Library Branches from January – March 2016.
