Do you have any community eyesores? How many times have you passed by a litter-strewn park or graffiti-splashed building and wished it would go away? Perhaps it’s the local playground plagued with garbage, or the storm drains that are plugged and flood when it rains; or maybe a block that needs some attention.

“Enough is enough”

All it takes is for someone to say, “Enough is enough”! It’s a great way to improve your local community and be one of the hundreds of volunteers involved in keeping Oakland beautiful!

Could your neighborhood use some sprucing up? Here's how to organize a clean up.

• Call (510) 434-5113 with your idea.
• The City will loan you tools for the cleanup day, arrange for trash pickup, and provide other logistical support.
• Projects can be one-time or ongoing (see Adopt-A-Spot/Adopt-A-Block).
